I'll flesh this out as I have more to say about this project.
CSL stands for Coupe Sports Lightweight.
BMW's official CSL models were the E9 CSL and the E46 M3 CSL
The stock E31 is CS, but not L—this is what I would like to work on.
My goals are to lose at least a few hundred pounds from my 1991 BMW 850i without turning it into a hacked up racecar. I believe there is weight to be lost which will not only make the car snappier, but should also reduce consumption of gas, brakes, suspension items, etc.
